Jysk’s record in mattress dominoes reach Danish media

Our campaign Jysk’s record in mattress dominoes and its merry solution has drawn attention not only from Latvian, but also from Danish media. The goal of the campaign was to present Jysk’s new offer of mattresses with positive entertaining activities. Setting a record in dominoes with Jysk’s mattresses attracted much of the public attention, because such big dominoes had never been used in Latvia before. The event took place on the symbolic date of 11.11.11, and 111 mattresses were upset on this day.

The Project was implemented by three agencies: PR agency Mediju tilts/Burson Marsteller, media agency Creative Media Baltic and event organizers Arawana.

 
    
    
 
Little superheroes

For their first participation in 1W4Ks Mediju tilts decided to spend a day with ten children aged from 2 to 9, who are currently living with two foster families in the town of Bauska. Before joining their foster families, the children had been abused by their biological families.

Sponsoring PR. Latvia’s major brewery, A/S Aldaris (part of Carlsberg Group), has become a sponsor of hockey club Rīgas Dinamo, a member of the Continental Hockey League (CHL). Rīgas Dinamo and Aldaris started co-operation in a positive historic context, being both an integral part of Latvian sports culture. Nevertheless, when developing a PR communications strategy, one had to take into account that there is a fierce competition in Latvia’s beer market between two market leaders, A/S Aldaris and A/S Cēsu alus. The goal was to stress just the support of Aldaris to hockey, which is a national sport in Latvia.

Lobbying campaign. In April 2010 Mediju tilts developed and implemented a lobbying campaign, which called on members of the Latvian parliament (Saeima) to renounce the idea of banning beer advertising in electronic media from 7.00 am till 10.00 pm. The Latvian Brewers’ Association unites Latvia’s major brewers – AS Aldaris, AS Cēsu alus, SIA Cido grupa (beer Lāčplēsis) and SIA Lodinga (beer Bauskas).

 
    
    
 

Crisis PR. In August-September 2007 PR agency Mediju tilts developed and implemented a PR crisis communications strategy for A/S Pasažieru vilciens, to inform the public about the coming increase of ticket prices.
